If you are a mystery fan or a Grisham fan then this book is a good read for you. Initially rejected by many publishers, it was eventually bought by Wynwood Press, who gave it a modest 5, copy printing and published it in June This is probably my favourite of Grisham’s books, despite a smattering of sentimental cliches that make me desire to inspect the brains of some fairly central characters with a fire poker.
To top it off, he spent six months in Italy “researching” gelato, architecture, cuisine and language for this book. Okay, so why would an innocent man plead guilty if he wasn’t? Is this sloppy mess typical of Grisham or was I just handed a lemon?
